Mark Zuckerberg himself descended from his perch to announce that Facebook has hit the 100 million user mark.

Zuck hasn’t been a huge public presence lately, but it makes sense that he’d take the opportunity to crow about reaching 100 million. What does that milestone mean for you and your brand?

It depends. In reality, you probably want to keep an eye on country by country status if you are a brand advertiser. The US, UK, and Canada will inevitably experience decreased rates of growth. Those countries might be more relevant to you than the huge user base Facebook is picking up in countries like Turkey.

Regardless, it’s nice to see Zuck around. And 100 million users is a good reason to see him.
