Earlier this week, Facebook announced live chat invites for applications. Essentially, it allows people to send invites through a more noticeable, viral channel.

Our thoughts? It’s easy to implement, which is always key (especially considering that any new channel Facebook opens is subject to being removed a few weeks later). Developers should work hard to get started while users are still acclamating to the invites- and, most importantly, will still accept them.
