Everyone knows that Facebook has started FBfund (though details are harder to come by).

There’s a lot to say about the idea of “grants” as seed funding.  Maybe the best take home point for Facebook Application founders is that Accel and other VCs  want first crack at funding Facebook Apps.  If that’s not a vote of confidence in platform’s viability, I don’t know what is.
